Waste management plays a significant role in shaping the environment, economy, and public health. By reducing waste generation, promoting recycling and reuse, and incorporating circular economy principles, waste management supports a more sustainable and resource-efficient society. It encourages responsible consumption and production patterns that minimize environmental impact while meeting the needs of present and future generations.
Environmental
The Waste to Value project will have a noticeable positive environmental impact:
Once fully operational it will prevent 1500 - 2500 tpd of municipal waste from being landfilled per project, leading to:
Improved air quality
Improved soil quality
Improved water quality
Reduction of greenhouse gasses (carbon dioxide and methane) Emitted by landfill (estimated at 336.640 tons CO2)
Incineration will adhere to EU standards (Strict emission standards that made it possible in the Netherlands to built-in residential areas)
As a sustainable long-term project, the environmental benefits will continue for 50 years.
Social
We expect the following social benefits for the people of UP:
Job creation
125 – 15- permanent high-skilled jobs during operations
3.000 – 5.000 manhours of local consulting contracts during developments
300 – 500 local jobs during the construction phase
250 indirect jobs generation during development and operations
A transfer of skills and knowledge from the Netherlands to India. This includes the training and coaching of staff.

Economical
The project will have several economic benefits, including:
Foreign direct investment (FDI) Into India.
We expect that the majority of the equipment and all civil works can be purchased locally.
The project foresees US$ 8 – 10 million of annual expenses in India
Total corporate income acquiring tax the Indian government is expected to be around US$ 77 million
